The Potty

OMG OMG OMG Kaylee just poopy'd in the potty! Yes it was a mess and she sort of got it everywhere but WOW, I'm SOOOOOO PROUD of her! She didn't even tell me she had to go she just went and brought me her cushie seat(ummm with poo on it)LOL
She has been doing so great during the day the past few days! We switched her from the potty chair to the lil seat that goes on the big potty and she loves it. I just let her run around with just a shirt on for now so when she needs to go she can just go and not worry about anything, sometimes she'll have panties on but they seem to get in the way! :) Here in a bit we'll work on having panties on a having to pull them down to go!

Its christmas eve and all is calm......except KAYLEE! hahaha Just kidding!
Today we went to the childrens museum and had a blast! Now we are just winding down from the day and waiting for Santa to arrive! Kaylee loves santa.......as long as she is not on him lap! hahahaha We made christmas cookies this evening and kaylee iced and sprinkled them! I'll post a couple pic!

Christmas at the ZOO

WOW was the zoo just beautiful! There were just thousands of lights of all colors and shapes..EVERYWHERE! Almost everything had a light on it! The white river garden had several train sets going with just gorgeous christmas decor everywhere! We had a wonderful time. There weren't a lot of animals out do to the coldness but it was still just wonderful. The tiger was really awesome. Normally you don't see it move much on the hot days but lastnight it was loving the cool air and moving everywhere! Kaylee keep saying "come mer tiger".....too funny! She also loved yelling for the polar bear to come closer and come back. The seals were in heaven it seemed too. Jason and Kaylee had a great time playing on the playground. I just loved all the lights and being with my two favorite people in the world! I'm still just in awwww taking OUR lil girl places and being a mommy. Life couldn't be any better!

Soooooo happy to see her sweet face!

Here is my niece Kegan Abigal! This is my brothers lil girl. She is just the sweetest! After months of not being able to see her finally with the courts help my brother and our family get to have her in our lives! I only hope and pray Joey and Kegans mommy can be friends and communicate with one another for years to come.
Kegan is a very happy almost 9mon old! She makes the funniest growling sounds and smiles all the time. Here are some pics of her!

Preschool.......O My!!! Its time

Where has time went, two years flown by......and its time.........soooooo

After much debate and getting finances together, we've decided Kaylee(and mommy/daddy) is ready for preschool, she will start Jan 5th. She will be in the 1yr old class cause she didn't meet the Aug deadline for 2yr olds but there are several others that are right behind her turning 2 so it should work out great. OMG I've spent weeks calling places and looking up places on the internet. And finally found the perfect place and fits in our budget and its church based which makes us feel better. Its nuts the cost of some places, seriously I can't figure out way they cost so much. Anyway..............
Kaylee is soaking in everything right now and mommy is NOT teacher material! hahaha I'm very good mommy material but can't figure out what to do day to day to challege Kaylee. Kaylee really is a very smart lil toddler and really needs the interaction with more kids her age. We really feel she will benefit greatly and love going! She will go 2 days a week tue/thur for 4 hours. However its during her normal naptime so I hope she will be ok. I know its going to be hard on her the first couple weeks but I think she will love going once she see's how fun it will be. And MAYBE just MAYBE they can help on her sharing and being nice. We can't seem to get anywhere with this girl on being nice and sharing........and we have no idea where she learned such icky behavior.

We get to see Kegan finally, which is uncle Joey's lil girl! I'll post pic of her soon, she is just as pretty as pretty can be........hehe like Kaylee.
We are having a great end to the year and looks to be a wonderful beginning to 2009.
Life is just wonderful and Kaylee makes it that way

Just a SWEET Grandpa!!!

My grandpa came over for dinner the other night and this is what he brought me! OMG isn't it just a beautiful arrangment! I just smiled and smiled....and it smells sooo good and christmas'eee! LOL He delivers for the lady that did this arrangement and she is just great at it! She also made some wonderful ones for my grandma's funeral. Bless my grandpa, I just love him! He makes me feel so special!

So we went to see Santa sunday afternoon and it didn't go so well! Kaylee was all excited and ready to see santa but when the time came she let us have it! Poor baby was so scared. But we did get a pic with me kaylee and santa, maybe we'll try again before christmas.

Another BIG milestone........POTTY Time

Kaylee did, she went POTTY in her chair for the first time this morning. OMG I was/am so very proud of her and happy. I know we have a long way still but she did and all by herself no asking by me or taking her to the potty. After a couple of failed tries by me to potty train her I said....ok she will do it in her own time. I'm so glad I let her decided when she was ready, so much easier and I know that she understands what to do this way.
I was just changing her diaper and getting her dressed this morning. She got up and took off as usual(hahaha)running naked. I did say you can potty if you want, cause she did want to put a diaper on. She said "o ta I will" and ran to her potty. I though ok she'll just sit there and then say no I fine as she normally does! hahaha So I go finish getting ready for work and start the car. I come back in the house and she runs out and says ick wash hands, fingers. I look and her fingers are wet and I knew right away she either pee'd or got in the toilet. I ran in there and she had PEE PEE'd. I just jumped up and down and said good girl Kaylee, big girl, I"m so proud of you....you peeeeeeed! LOL Then we danced around the house and got her some snacks. We'll see when she goes again.....still no pushing just when she feels she wants to!!!

EDITED: She has pee'd several times today and seems to really like doing it! WOOHOO! Maybe soon she will tell me when she needs to go. I'm so proud of her!

A Day of THANKS

What I'm Happy for and sooooo VERY Thankful for!!

Kaylee and Jason - they are both the light of my life and the reason I love waking every morning! I love hearing the sweet "MOMMY MOMMY"every morning no matter what time it is! hahaha! I love feeling Jason's kiss and touch in the morning and hearing him say "I love you"

My parents and brother - I just adore my mom,dad,brother and stepfather! They are ALL such wonderful people and I'm so blessed they are MY parents and my brother.

MY LIFE - I LOVE my life............I'm happy and very content. I love all we have and I look forward to everyday! I might not have it all.......but I have whats most important......more love than anyone could ask for.

My Inlaws - I'm blessed to have a wonderful extented family! My SIL is great and my niece is the best! My MIL is sweet and quite funny and I'm just happy my FIL is feeling better this year.

So many thanks I could go on and on!

**** Just a lil extra hear..........Bless my grandpa for his first holiday without my grandma. She is so missed and its still so unreal that she's not with us!

Just a good very precious pic I wanted to share also. Thanksgiving night was the first time is FOREVER it seems that Kaylee layed in my arms and fell asleep like an infant! I LOVED it! What a wonderful end to a very THANKFUL day!

My new Plan and its exciting! hahaha

I'm very excited! I was just offered a nanny position that I accepted very happily. I will be caring for an 11mon old lil girl here in town. I am able to take Kaylee with me also............how perfect! I will have the holidays off and the summer, the mommy is a teacher. Starting next year there will be a new baby also he/she is due in April. I start tomorrow and just can't wait! Tomorrow the little girl will be here at our house but thurs I will start at their house.

I'm also still looking into dental assisting classed at Ivy Tech but they are not excepting applications until the spring, I just missed the cut off a couple weeks ago for winter classes. The nanny position fits so well with our family. I will be able to be with Kaylee during the day and then when school starts will not miss her so much in the evening when I have to leave for class.......know what I mean.

If the family that hired me is reading......thank you for this opportunity! I'm very excited about caring for your lil princess.

Big Girl Bed

Kaylee has been in her cute toddler bed for 3 nights now and is doing awesome! We took her crib out the other day and thankfully haven't had to put it back in! We tried converting her crib to the daybed but no rail fits it so she could fall out and did once! So after two tries of that we decided to just get a toddler bed. Its a bit sad to see her room with no crib, there has been in a crib in that room since I was pregnant with Tyler and Erin in 2005! Its sad but happy also to know our baby is growing up! I liked the crib cause I felt like I still had my baby! :) But potty training is coming next and we felt it would be a good idea for her to be able to get up when she needed........WHEN she decides to go potty! So here are some pics of the big girl room now and out sweet girl getting her beauty rest.....not that she needs it! hehehe

A VERY SAD DAY! Love you grandma

Today was a very sad day for our family! My grandma Spurrier past away unexpectedly this afternoon. I'm so very numb right now
I received a called at 12:30am that grandma had had a heartattack and was at the hospital. When I got there she was in surgery and they were trying to clear her arteries. The were successful in doing so but there still was too much damage. Her heartattack was too bad and she suffered brain damage. I sit with her praying she would wake up and give me that wonderful smile.........gosh it didn't happen! She went to heaven around 3pm. She is at peace now but all I want is my grandma back.
I loved her dearly! Who will I call when I need help cooking, sewing or just my grandma to talk to! I don't know what to do right now but cry. I know my grandpa is lost, he has lost his everything and we have lost a wonderful lady. I pray he will be ok, I know all he wants is to be with her. Kaylee will never know her grandma, grandma won't be able to watch Kaylee grow! She only got 2 short years with her. I have all this memories and I don't know what to do. I just want to her her voice, hear her say "hi sweetie"............ I hate this feeling of emptiness.
I know my grandma is better now, she is with Tyler and Erin and she can finally meet them, she is watching down on us and I know she misses all of us.

Mommy's ever changing PLAN!

So after two weeks I quit my job! It was a nice job but just not what I wanted for myself! We also had a change in plans in my mom watching Kaylee due to mamaw needed to have a job and we just weren't able to pay her what she really needed! Mamaw and papaw HATED that Kaylee had to leave but its just wanted needed to be done with this crazy economy! I on the other hand am trying to watch children at home again! I love kids and think it will be really good for Kaylee to have other kids around! I'm very excited about this plan also and really hope it works out! I went and got CPR certified last week. I'm also looking into Ivy Tech to go back to school for dental assisting! I'm actually quite excited with this plan and look forward to be able to work in a dental office!

My Party!!!!

We had a party for Kaylee on the 4th the day after her birthday! She had so much fun and so did everyone else! We rented a bounce house for the day and it was a huge hit with the kiddo's and a few adults! And of course our backyard is a playground so there was so much for the kids! We had a blast with Kaylee before and after our guests where there! We all enjoyed pizza and cake and LOTS of playtimeFamily and friends = LOTS OF FUN!! I love having get to gethers!
