Snow Day!!!!

We had a snow day wed, I was off and Jason took off also due to so much snow! It was just a wonderful family day! We all snuggled in bed for a bit and then sleep in! Jason started shoveling us out and I got Kaylee and myself ready for the snow! Now that is no easy task let me tell you! LOL However once we got out there it was so much fun! Jason and I built a little snow cave that was big enough to turn around in.......yes we are kids ourselves! Kaylee nor our pup Max was all to fond of it but our pup Emit and us loved it! After we got dressed and went shopping and had an interesting visit to Pier One........story to come,

Our Adoption Journey

So if you don't know already we are hoping to adopt. We started the application process in August I think and have slowing been making progess! Our agency isnt' the quickest but are nice and honestly cheaper than most! There average wait for a caucasion baby is 15-18months! We are looking at a domestic adoption so it will be local. We have our all day class at the agency Feb 4th at that point we will fill out our desires and also schedule our homestudy! Lets just say we are not being picky in anyway and are open to almost any circumstance. We have chose to very open to an open/semi open adoption, which means anywhere from just pics/letters to the birthmom to actually meeting with her from time to time. Thankfully that should be done in Feb also and our profile out there for birthmoms to look at by the end of the month. Here is what they will be seeing and going on to hopefully chose us! Its hard to know a book is what determines if we get another child or not but hopefully a mother loves what she reads!

Ittle Miss Kaylee

Kaylee is doing wonderful and is quite the lil toddler these days! She is going with the flow of pt'ing, still has accidents but I'm sure those will happen for some time! She does where a diaper or pull up at school, night time and naps but rest of the day she is in panties or clothes training pants(they are thicker than panties :) ) Down side to potty training is she is having belly issues now, she will hold poo's instead of going we have no idea how to manage this issue but we'll get it.
She's growing up so fast, we really need a pause button! She is the sweetest lil thing in the world! She always tells us "miss you so much mommy or daddy" I just love her voice. She loves cartoons and really does learn from them! And of course what a toddler without the back talk! lol Good lord does she have a vocabulary on her and where does she learn some things at! There is so much I could say but then I'd have to write a book!

Preschool-
She still has some sad times(as her report says) but is having more happy times! Her teacher loves her and says she is very polite! They say she plays very well and loves open play time! I've watch her from the window a couple times and she seems to love story time at the end of the day. Mommy and Daddy love getting her crafts every week and our fridge is covered in them! We are really seeing the benefit of Kaylee going to preschool even though she says she not like it! lol She goes around singing ring around the rosie and duck duck goose! We have never played duck duck goose! She also sings clean up clean up! AWWW to see and hear her makes me feel so much better about leaving her! LOL Also normally when we go to mc d's or somewhere like that to play inside she HAS to have us play with her ALL the time. Well sunday we went to mc d's for playtime and she took her shoes off and was gone..............no mention of us to go with her! She had a blast with all the other kids and even found a lil friend to talk with! As much as an adjustment it is for her and I we really feel its good for her and we can already see what she is learning!

In Memory of our Angels

I don't post on here about our twins but I just had to share this and want Kaylee to see this when she is older. A friend of mine shared this couples blog with me and I just fell in love. These wonderful people take time out of there lives to write couples precious angels names in the sand at sunset in memory of them. Its just a beautiful site. Just made me cry seeing our lil ones names today. What wonderful people they are for doing this.

First Day of PRESCHOOL

Kaylee's first day was Tue the 6th for 4hrs. She walk right in with her little attitude(hahaha) and backpack(too cute) and was fine. However once mommy start giving goodbye kisses all changed and she cried! :( They said it would be better if I just left and didn't make a deal of it......so I did. My mom and I hung out in the hall out of site and within minutes she stopped crying. Her teacher said she did really good and only cried a little bit a couple times. She wouldn't eat lunch but thats not anything different lately. I watched her from the hall before class ended and was so cute. She was just sitting down for story time and then went to sit on her shape on the floor, I was so proud of her as I always am! I can't wait to get her first craft in her little slot....its a snowflake. Its just so cute to see her name on the wall of stickers and a little place for her. I hope Thur goes just as well and she likes it.

Happy 2009

Happy New Year to ALL!
We did NOTHING and loved it! lol We were in bed at 10pm and loved it! :) Do I miss going out new years eve....NOPE NOPE NOPE! We LOVE spending the evening with Kaylee and family. We did go to the Children Museum along with our niece Jolie, my mom and stepfather and had so much fun! Kaylee just loves that place and its JUST for KIDS ok and adults! heheh My dad gave us money for Christmas to get a membership to the zoo or museum and we chose the museum. There is so much to do there and we can go rain or shine! :) We paid a couple bucks extra and got the plus membership to where we can take two guests with us for free anytime. After getting home from playing we went out to eat at Logan's Roadhouse and then came home and relaxed.

AWWWW New Years Resolution...........ummmmm

1 Continue to Cherish life and all I have.......I have all I need now...Kaylee and family.
2 Hopefully get chosen for adoption, it would be great having another lil one around. We'd love to have another lil one but I will not let it consume our life's as I have before....seriously if Kaylee is it for us I'm beyond happy with her.
3 lose some weight.......ugh like 15lbs......ok at least 10lbs
4 No looking back at what I can't change......only look forward and live each day to the fullest.
