The Icky Sickies

Its been a rough cold season this year! We're not normally sick but maybe once a year and normally just a cold or maybe the flu. This year one of us has been sick since around Thanksgiving. Jason and I have had horrible colds or something at the same time for weeks! Sadly poor Kaylee got it and it was just rough on her! She ran a 103 temp for about 4-5 days before it broke, had horrific cough and ended up getting a chest xray. It showed some viral stuff, so the beginning of pnemonia...but it was caught right away and she got antibotic and was better within the week. Its just horrible to see your baby sick! Mamaw was staying with us and Kaylee just loved loving up to her...Look at the sweet and a little sad pic of them!

Sick little princess

Wednesday just before bedtime it hit her..the flu....our poor baby girl! She was getting ready to potty and just said "mommy I gotta pukey" and here it came! Its just awful to see her get sick and feel so bad! So she made it through the night pukey free and got a goods night sleep! We were so relieved we thought whew just an upset tummy! She had her milk did good with it and hour passed and I gave her her medicine for her cough and some lemonade....well that did it! Shortly after she started puking again! :( I was so sad for one she was sick and two thursday was preschool and practice for her cute lil program that was that TONIGHT!
So after a couple hours she said she felt a little better and even ate a bit. She was ok with going to school as long as mommy went with her so off we went! However we only made it at school about an hour before she just wasn't feeling good and was so emotional. We left went to Marsh for some sprite and push pops(her request)! Poor gal puked in Marsh and all over herself! I felt so bad for her, she even told me sorry for puking...I promised her it was not her fault and mommy was sorry she felt so icky! So off to home we went! Daddy came home early to be with her and help while I took care of Devyn and Caleb! She napped 4hrs and a little better and even was able to keep down crackers and sprite! She said she was ok so we went ahead and went to her christmas program at school. After her program however when we got home the poor baby got sick again, thankfully though after a bathe and a good nights sleep she was better. So I guess it was the 24hr flu....we are just so glad it didn't last long and she is better now! She is such a trooper when she is sick and honestly takes it so much better than us adults would! :)

A little update on our lives

Ok, we are all feeling 100% better. We've been spending pretty much all of our time outside since the weather has been just awesome! Kaylee loves for us to prop the back door open so she can come in and out, she just explores everything outside and loves it! And our yard is fenced in with a lock and an alarm if the gate opens......shes safe! I"m so glad she is an outdoors toddler and she is becoming our lil tom girl, she likes to get pretty and dirty! hahahah Just like mommy was!

I have started an excerise program with my girlfriend Amy and we are going to lose this weight and be tone in 90 days! hahaha It feels so good to workout, it maybe hard but I do enjoy it.....lol we'll see what I say in a few more weeks! :)

On the adoption front......we are now finally on the waiting list. We had a bit of a delay after our homestudy but it got worked out and we are just waiting and praying for a call! I just can't wait for another baby!

I think that covers it all!

Another Seizure #3

Kaylee started getting sick yesterday and the inevitable happen again!
She started out with puking at aunt CeCa's house, with a fever. CeCa gave her tylenol, changed her into this really cute t-shirt until we got back. Then came the diarrha, I mean our poor baby had it bad. So we got some popcicles and pedialyt and home we went. Her temp was not breaking really so we gave her motrin which she puked up within minutes then fall asleep. We decided to move her bed in our room because we had a feeling she was going to seiz again due to her temp already being at 102! So we all fall asleep and at 1:15am we awake to hearing Kaylee seizing, I knew right away that that was the sound.......her grunting! Jason calls 911 and I sit down with her and just talk to her(And then I start freaking puking). This is the 3rd one and its still so very hard to watch such a lil body do this. Again she trembles,stops breathing, lips and face start turning blue and she foams at the mouth. After a couple minutes it stops and she is just out of it for a bit, we continue talking to her and finally she says something and starts acting a better.
The EMT's said it was up to us if we wanted her taken to the hossy and we chose not to. She is doing better today(Sat) and we are all starting to feel better!
I just pray to god this doesn't happen again, it just beyond scary to see your precious lil girl's body do this and be so helpless.

Another Seizure

Well Kaylee had another febrile seizure around 3:45 this morning! This time she was with her mamaw and papaw's though! I took her out to my moms at 10am and dropped her off! ALL day long I called checking on her and she was fine and playing like crazy! NO signs of being sick at all! Jason and I go out there when he got home so he can see his sweetie and she is still fine we left at 7:30pm. My mom said Kaylee felt warm but we just chalked it up to her playing so much and she had just got out of a nice warm bath. Kaylee went to bed at 8:30pm just fine and was sleeping great! Mamaw heard her wimpering a little at 3:45am and went in to get her and she was hot as crap and seizing! Same as in Feb when this happen! She was convulsing,eyes rolled back,stop breathing and her lips turned blue! My stepdad gave her mouth to mouth and my brother called 911! Of course in the mist of all of this they called Jason and I also and we flew out to my moms which is about 7m away or so. And we beat the ambulance, which pees us off........they should have been there before us going by where they are based! Anyway when Jason and I got there Kaylee was very lethargic and still out of it and hot. But by the time she was in the ambulance she was a little better and giving then heck......which is a good sign! So another eventful time in sweet lil Kaylees 1.5yrs! She is playing now but has also slept alot today which is what she really needs! I will be calling the pedi tomorrow for a follow up appt.

A Horrible Day

What an awful eventful day we had Monday! I truely thought I was losing our baby right before my eyes!
Kaylee has had cough again and we thought it was just sinus drainage! So Monday morning she gets up and is not feeling well! She was fine most of the day but then ALL of a SUDDEN she got hot, so I took her temp at 1:15 it 103 or I thought! I learn later you add a degree for armpit temp, so really it was 104! I gave her motrin at 1:30. Then she just lays on floor acting strange and starring up! I grap her and she falls asleep in my arms, she is on fire! I go to dial daddy's cell number to tell him I'm thinking of taking her to the pedi office and everything takes a turn for the worst! Kaylee start shaking at first, then her eyes roll back in her head, her lips turn blue........she's having a seizure! I panic, I starting crying and screaming her name, telling her I love her..... I'm truely begging GOD to stop it! I called 911 and before the ambulance gets her she stops! She was very still as they transported her to the ambulance but soon recovered as her temp finally went down! This is the second time in my life I've been this horrified and the first time I lost both our babies and I thought I was losing our miracle also! At the hossy they did a chest x ray and nose swab and thankfully all it is is the FLU! She is great now and playing! I'm honestly not much of a god person but he answered my prayers and pulled me through this aweful time! I just can't stop thinking about watching her do this, it keeps running through my head, then the tears start coming! I LOVE HER SOOOOO MUCH! And even more if its possible now!

Kaylee!! Mommy and Daddy love you so much our precious girl! Our lives are so complete now that we have you and I don't know where or what we'd be without you. You are OUR LIFE!! love you sweet girl!!
