EEG

Kaylee had her EEG this morning to check for epilepsy. The pedi is pretty sure that the febrile seizure have nothing to do with it but since she has had 2 and Jason father has epilepsy he did the test as a precaution.
So we went to the Peyton Manning Childrens Hospital at St Vincents.(thats where Kaylee was born also) Kaylee had to stay up late and get up early so she'd be sleepy for the EEG. So she went to bed at 11pm and got up at 4:30am! We got to the hossy at 6:45am she was checked in and was back within 20min....very fast! It took about 20min to hook all the connection up to her head and then the EEG was half hour! She slept in stage two sleep for about 15min(which is want they want) and then had to be awake for 15min after sleeping.(its not easy getting a sleepy toddler awake!) Minus her really not liking getting all the connection glued to her she did very well. We are very proud of her! The best part was there was NO sedation. They wrapped her in a blanket(neck down) and just held her while getting her ready and then I got to hold her during the test. She just slept in my arms.......it was wonderful to be able to be part of it and her not be alone. We should have the results next week at her follow up appt with Dr. Ambre.

Edited - just wanted to add the doc called(he actually called himself) Mon morning and said Kaylee was fine......NOOOOOO Epilepsy! WOOHOO! She is just having febrile seizures as he thought! I LOVE Kaylee pedi, he is so great. We just have to catch her fevers before they rise! Which means even a small fever HAS to be treated since 1. you never know how high it might get and 2.Her fevers rise very quickly which is what triggers the seizure.

Another Seizure

Well Kaylee had another febrile seizure around 3:45 this morning! This time she was with her mamaw and papaw's though! I took her out to my moms at 10am and dropped her off! ALL day long I called checking on her and she was fine and playing like crazy! NO signs of being sick at all! Jason and I go out there when he got home so he can see his sweetie and she is still fine we left at 7:30pm. My mom said Kaylee felt warm but we just chalked it up to her playing so much and she had just got out of a nice warm bath. Kaylee went to bed at 8:30pm just fine and was sleeping great! Mamaw heard her wimpering a little at 3:45am and went in to get her and she was hot as crap and seizing! Same as in Feb when this happen! She was convulsing,eyes rolled back,stop breathing and her lips turned blue! My stepdad gave her mouth to mouth and my brother called 911! Of course in the mist of all of this they called Jason and I also and we flew out to my moms which is about 7m away or so. And we beat the ambulance, which pees us off........they should have been there before us going by where they are based! Anyway when Jason and I got there Kaylee was very lethargic and still out of it and hot. But by the time she was in the ambulance she was a little better and giving then heck......which is a good sign! So another eventful time in sweet lil Kaylees 1.5yrs! She is playing now but has also slept alot today which is what she really needs! I will be calling the pedi tomorrow for a follow up appt.

Just some random Kaylee things

Kaylees vocab is just wonderful! New words lately.......bubble, dave(her uncle)out(for outside, walmart(so funny and cute),wing(swing) and backpack. She really is learning a new one at least every other day! We are working on her ABC's which she will repeat A B C and D! If we say A B she will continue with C. She has learned to spin on the sit and spin and tries to teach her baby where its eye, nose, mouth and ears are!
She is still a very tempermented lil toddler! She definitly has the tantrums down! She has not been sleeping through the night for quite sometime and we have no idea why! So we are now co-sleeping at least part of the night/morning! She eats very well now and is growing like a weed! She doesn't really like the stroller but loves the wagon! She also likes the backpack when we go hiking or walking! We recently went to turkey run and shades state park and she loved it! She got to eat her first icecream cone....all by herself! We are having a blast with our lil sweetie and love her more everyday if thats even possible! Kaylee is becoming quite a wonder and smart lil girl!

Father Day

The word KAYLEE

Kaylee is saying her name now! Its so cute! We've been working for a couple days on it and today she said it quite clearly. Earlier I was saying Kaylee no, Kaylee stop and she would repeat me and say "Kaylee" She is so cute but rotten! She is also saying "silly" now. And one cute thing she says all the time when she wants something is "this". She has been saying it for a while I just keep forgetting to post it or write it down anywhere.

Our lil girl is growing so much and so FAST!! Its crazy! Everyone said cherish the moments cause they grow fast and we were like we know.......but really now thats it happening we had no idea just how fast it goes. Its just atonishing watching her grow. I could go on and on at what shes learning but I won't cause I'd be on here all day.

So here are some pics of Kaylee's new playset! We got a very good deal on it. Its used but has lots and lots of use left in it! All we have to do is stain and protect it to make it look nicer and last longer. Kaylee loves it more then I ever thought she would right now. She is able to climb up it all by herself(safely) and goes down the curly slide by herself. She loves swinging in her lil bee swing and mommy/daddy loves the swing next to her. Heck I like to play on it too.hahaha

Playdate

We had a playdate the other day with Amy one of my friends and her twins Asher and Lilly! It was so much fun having all the kids playing together! I also had Colten so it was a house full of fun! They played in the sand, ran around the yard and went down the slides! I'm just so excited that Amy and the little ones live here in Indiana now, I've been waiting forever! hahaha Here are a few pics of the day!
