1st Family Vacation! Gatlinburg, TN

We just got back from our 1st vacation and it went great! We went to Gatlinburg, TN to the Great Smokey Mountains from Thursday to Sunday! We stayed in a beautiful cabin up in the Smokey's with a spectacular view! Kaylee did just wonderful on the long car rides and sleeping in a new place! The first night was a bit rough for her but we figured out that she was in fact cold so once we got the temp adjusted she was out! After that she slept the next two nights ALL night! We had a hot tub on the balcony that was quite relaxing and a jacuzzi in the cabin that we all enjoyed! We put kaylee in the jacuzzi for a bath and blow up her turtle turned the jets on and let her play for a bit and then we all played in it! It was so funny! We did so much walking/hiking the three days and boy was it much harder with a stoller! :)HA HA HA Of course all the trails were uphill so we got us a good workout those days! Our first trail we did led to a waterfall called Laural Falls, it was uphill but not too bad of a hike really. When we got there we put kaylee's little feet in the water and she loved that! It was quite hot so I'm sure it felt great to her! We did this trail twice cause it was stoller friendly! HA HA Kaylee is to big for the chest carrier now, we tried it and both about died! HA HA So we got to get a back carrier for future vacations! Anyway the second trip up I got in the water and my gosh it was cold but kaylee again loved having her feet put in it! The waterfall was very pretty! I guess Gatlinburg hasn't had much rainfall because there wasn't alot of water coming over like in past years we've been there! Then the second trail we did was straight up(I mean straight too) and I thought Jason and I were gonna pass out going up but we made it! However Jason ended up holding Kaylee on the hike up while I pushed an empty stoller......O YA!!! Really it was much easier that way for ALL us! We went through Cades Cove which is where most of the wildlife viewing is and were able to see several sets of momma bears with 1-3cubs and O MY were they cute! Of course Kaylee was interested in all the people not animals......HA HA HA In a few years we will go back when she can remember things! So all in all we saw several bears, deer and some wild turkey.....not to bad I'd say! So our 1st family vacation was a great success and a wonderful time! It was great to get away for a few days! We might go to Colorado this fall for a longer vacation, this trip was our tester and it passed..........so we'll see! O I almost forgot, Kaylee also got her fourth top tooth in, pretty much mastered the sippy cup and got up on her knees while on vacation! So she offically has six teeth now, that should be it for several months! THANKFULLY! Teething has been so rough and she's been teething since about 3-4months old poor girl! Just 1 weeks until Kaylee is 9months old! Be back then!

Happy Fathers Day!

Jason 1st Fathers day was wonderful! We all spent the day together, visited our fathers and then had a small cook out at my moms house! UMMM!! Kaylee gave her Daddy a couple fathers day gifts! LOL First she gave him a little bite on the shoulder.....yep the first biting! She has 3 new teeth on top and getting a fouth still! She decided to show them off to daddy! HA HA HA I told him she was going to bite him......mommy was right! All I hear in the other room is a little hell and "she just bit me"! All I could do was laugh! She left a little welt so we took a picture of it! HA HA We're silly! Then that night he was giving her a bath and she went poopy in the tub! HA HA HA What a great daddy day! HA HA
We are also preparing for our 1st family vacation this week! We are going to Gatlinburg,TN for a few days! It should be fun but interesting! We've been there several times but its going to be so special going with our little girl! Six long years of waiting!

Sippy Time

Kaylee finally drank from her sippy cup yesterday for the first time! WOOHOO! She is also scooting and turning herself when she is on her belly! She not crawling yet but will stay on all fours if we help her up, she falls shortly after but it cute for the few seconds!

Our 1st FAMILY zoo trip

Sunday we went to the Indianapolis Zoo for our 1st family time! It was a perfect day and we had great time! Kaylee was more interested in all the kids running around than the amimals but we figured she would be! HA HA HA She did like watching the polor bear swim(daddy says she was watching a leave in the water not the bear! LOL) and the dolphin show! She got to pet the goats, which was too cute! I think she just thought they we the dogs! HA HA She tried to pull one of their ears! ha ha ha! After the zoo we went to The White River Gardens which combine gardening ideas, designs and plant information into a botanical attraction thing, with lots of beautiful butterflies! It was so pretty and would have been a great place for some pictures but kaylee had a full day of animals and was napping! Jason and I had a nice time walking though it though....it was just so peaceful and quiet!
In other Kaylee news!! Her two top front teeth have shown themselves finally! Yep she now has 4 little teeth........we all better watch out now! HA HA HA This past Monday we took her for 8 mon pictures but she wasn't having it so we rescheduled for saturday.........it was a no go again! She did not want her pictures taken! She is in the stage of being scared of strange places and people, on top of her little temper she has! HA HA I was bummed cause I was really hoping to get new family pics taken but maybe at the 10mon pictures! However the photographer did manage to get to cute pictures of her smiling and happy somehow!

Our FAMILY trip to the ZOO!!

HA HA HA This past monday we took kaylee for her 8mon pictures but she wasn't having it, so we tried on sat and it was a no go again! The photographer was able to get 2 cute pictures of her smiling and happy.......not sure how though! LOL I was bummed, I really wanted to get new family pics taken but maybe next time.

HAPPY 8 MONTHS!!

Today Kaylee is 8 months old! Wow has time flown and she is getting so big! Kaylee is about 19lbs and 26in now! She is eating babyfood very well now and finger food(only biter biscutes for now) She is sitting up so good and also sleeping quite well the past few nights! She has went to bed at 10 and not been getting up until 7:30-8 in the morning for the past 4 nights now! WOW We believe she is cutting her top teeth now so maybe by 9month update she'll have some more teeth to show! She is now rolling on her belly and side at night to sleep! She also loves to play peek a boo now and taking a huge interest in the dogs Max and Emit! Once she can crawl our poor dogs are in for it! ha ha ha
Yesterday we went to the park pool for the first time! The water was COLD still! Kaylee did really good though and played the entire time! We bought her a little blow up turtle to sit in with a visor on it so she wouldn't be in the sun all day! She like that a lot.
